Walking Bus

Walking buses create new, safe, healthy and environmentally friendly ways of getting to and from school whilst reducing traffic congestion and pollution outside schools at busy times. They work by creating key pick up points where children can join an organised group and all walk to school together. Accompanied by adults and wearing high visibility clothing, children can learn about road safety as well as the environment on the way to school. The journey is also more fun as they can chat to their friends. Schools that already have walking buses have seen the added advantage of improved attendance and punctuality.

If you want your child to join the walking bus scheme please all into school for an application form. Thank you.
